A leading software development company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Accountant. The ideal candidate will generate customer invoices, monitor receivables, and process vendor invoices. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor outstanding receivables and manage collection activities.
Record and reconcile customer payments against invoices.
Prepare AR aging reports and escalate overdue accounts.
Support credit control processes and recommend adjustments (subject to Finance Manager approval).
Accounts Payable (AP)
Process vendor invoices and ensure proper documentation.
Perform three‑way matching (invoice, purchase order, receiving documents).
Schedule and prepare payment runs in line with company policies.
Maintain vendor records and resolve payment disputes.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements in AP transactions.
General Finance Support
Assist in month‑end closing activities related to AR and AP.
Provide accurate financial data for reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with the Finance Manager to strengthen internal controls.
Liaise with auditors during financial reviews.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Requirements:-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, ACCA is preferred
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia. Candidates fluent in mandarin is added advantages as role requires candidates to deal with mandarin speaking clients.
