Job summary

A reputable education financial services company in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Accounts Receivable specialist to manage financial functions. Responsibilities include invoicing, financial reconciliation, and oversight of Uniform Shop operations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is required, with a strong command of English preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a related field.
  • Experience in retail or school environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing and tracking.
  • Prepare monthly aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries with timely posting.
  • Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities.
  • Oversee Uniform Shop operations and prepare profit and loss statements.
  • Support internal and external audits for compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance team on financial processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) functions including invoicing, collection tracking, and reconciliation of student fee payments.
  • Prepare monthly aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and support parent communications on billing matters.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries, ensuring timely posting and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial reporting.
  • Oversee Uniform Shop operations, including sales transactions, stock management, and supplier coordination.
  • Prepare and review monthly Uniform Shop profit and loss statements and ensure accurate cash handling and deposit records.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with school financial policies.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team and other departments to ensure smooth financial and operational processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Business Central, Autocount, etc).
  • Minimum of 3 year’s work experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Experience in retail or school environment will be an added advantage.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English is essential. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is an added advantage.
