Job Purpose: To prepare and manage the consolidation of group financial accounts using Excel, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Group Consolidation
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in Excel.
    • Perform intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
    • Ensure correct treatment of group adjustments, including unrealised profits, non-controlling interests, and foreign exchange translation.
  • Data Collection and Validation
    • Collect and review management accounts and supporting schedules from subsidiaries.
    • Liaise with subsidiaries to resolve inconsistencies or issues in financial data.
    • Maintain consistency, accuracy, and formula integrity in all Excel files used for group reporting.
    • Develop control checks and validation rules in Excel to ensure reliable reporting.
  • Compliance and Standards
    • Ensure consolidated accounts comply with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS / IFRS).
    • Support statutory audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified professional certification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) is an advantage.
Experience
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in group consolidation.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing consolidated accounts manually in Excel.
  • Exposure to multi-entity and cross-border consolidation is preferred.
Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and consolidation adjustments.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
