About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team at WPA Partners Sdn Bhd. In this full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' financial accounting and reporting needs. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, strategic, and cost-effective accounting services to our diverse portfolio of clients.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing for audit and tax purposes.

Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for audit and taxation purpose - monthly, quarterly and annually.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of actual performance vs budget.

Project accounting - including progress billing, cost tracking and loan drawdowns.

Prepare and submit SST & E-Invoice in compliance with statutory requirements.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and regulatory authorities as required.

Perform cost computation and assist in budgeting/forecasting exercise.

Assist in preparing consolidation and financial analysis for Group's half and yearly reporting purpose.

Maintain proper documentation and filling of financial records.

Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reports.

Undertake any other accounting or finance-related tasks as assigned by management.

Responsible in handling a set of management account, budget and cash flow forecasts.

Ensure accounting records are compliant with accounting standards and company policies.

Provide support to operation team in day-to-day finance related matters.

Job Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial reporting role, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a solid understanding of financial reporting standards and regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights.

Proficient in the use of accounting software (SQL) and Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Highly motivated, self-disciplined and responsible individual with a positive working attitude.

A recognized professional accounting qualification, such as LCCI, Diploma or Degree in accounting, Finance, Banking or related field is highly desirable.
