A dynamic property management firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to handle comprehensive accounts management, including financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accounting/Finance, proficiency in accounting software, and at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the hospitality sector. Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closing.
Audit, Tax & SST
Prepare and submit SST returns; maintain proper SST documentation.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents for annual audit and tax filing.
Ensure all financial reporting complies with MFRS and regulatory standards.
Maintain up‑to‑date records for statutory and compliance purposes.
Manage the e‑invoice process in line with LHDN requirements.
Ensure timely issuance and submission of e‑invoices through the approved system.
Maintain digital records and ensure compliance with government e‑invoicing policies.
Operational & Property Support
Work closely with the property management and operations teams to reconcile rental income, expenses, and commissions.
Support financial tracking of property units listed one.g., Airbnb, Booking.com).
Assist in improving internal accounting workflows and financial reporting systems.
Education: Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA/CPA or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 year of relevant experience; exposure to hospitality, property, or short‑term rental industry is a plus.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and MS Excel / Google Sheets.
Knowledge of audit, tax, SST, and e‑invoice processes.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Familiarity with digital booking platforms (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com) and financial reconciliation is an advantage.
Accuracy and timeliness of monthly management reports.
Compliance with tax, SST, and e‑invoice deadlines.
Audit completion and reporting accuracy.
