A retail company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated Senior Accounts Executive. This role involves managing full set accounts, processing payroll, and preparing financial reports. This position is based at our Bangsar South office, conveniently accessible via MRT.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to support our daily accounting and finance operations. This role involves managing full set accounts, handling AR/AP, preparing monthly financial reports, processing payroll, and ensuring smooth coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate must be independent, organised, analytical, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Manage the full spectrum of accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and month-end closing.
Perform daily updates of Accounts Receivable and ensure monthly reconciliation of outlet sales against bank records.
Ensure accurate and timely posting of all accounting transactions.
Maintain proper accounting records, documentation, and filing systems.
Prepare timely monthly management reports, financial summaries, and performance insights.
Calculate and prepare the profit-sharing percentage for MINISO Group with accuracy and consistency.
Review variances and ensure financial data accuracy for decision‑making.
Handle monthly payroll processing with confidentiality and compliance.
Maintain employee records, payroll files, and supporting HR documentation.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and the company secretary on all finance-related matters.
Assist in audit preparation, tax submissions, and statutory compliance requirements.
Verify staff expense claims and ensure adherence to Company policies.
Support the Finance team in strengthening internal controls and improving workflow processes.
Willing to travel outstation for:
Store patrol and operational checks outlet
Finance verification assignments
Accompanying the Director when required
Transport mileage, petrol, tolls, and parking are claimable.
Employees with their own transport are preferred; however, Grab claims are allowed for official outstation duties.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
Experience handling full set accounts is strongly preferred.
Prior experience in retail industry will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in accounting software, especially AutoCount Accounting System, is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Mandarin‑speaking ability is an advantage for communication with China‑based stakeholders.
