The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of accounting principles. This full-time role offers a starting salary of RM4,000 monthly.

Job description

The Senior Executive, Accounts will be responsible for managing a full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies, and supporting the company’s operations across manufacturing, construction, and property development sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, costing, and regulatory compliance, as well as excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including consolidation of group accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Support financial disclosures and submissions related to Bursa Malaysia and other statutory bodies.

Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial statements and reports.

Prepare, analyze, and monitor costing reports for the manufacturing sector to support decision-making and cost control initiatives.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights on financial performance and variances.

Liaise with local authorities to secure permits, licenses, and approvals for projects related to manufacturing, construction, and property development.

Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax submissions and reporting obligations.

Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and legal representatives on statutory filings, audits, and financial matters.

Provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders on financial-related inquiries.

Maintain and update accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and company policies.

Continuously review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the development sector, preferably in construction and/or manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and costing methodologies.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment, while meeting strict deadlines.

Experience dealing with local authorities for permits and regulatory matters is highly advantageous.

Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements is preferred.
