Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks an experienced information security professional to join its security operations team. The role focuses on monitoring security alerts, handling incidents, remediating vulnerabilities, and tracking compliance across distributed environments.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of hands-on security experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with global teams. A CISSP/CISM is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, cyber security, or related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in information security or security operations.
• Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools, EDR, anti-malware/AV, DLP, secure web proxies, firewall policy management tools, and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Experience in security alert monitoring, incident handling, vulnerability remediation, and compliance tracking. Experience in security operations reporting and dashboard management is advantageous.

Job description

• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Information Security or Security Operations, with exposure to the following security technologies and tools:
  • Vulnerability and compliance scanning tools.
  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
  • Anti-malware/anti-virus solutions.
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
  • Secure web proxy technologies.
  • Firewall policy management tools.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Experience in security alert monitoring, incident handling, vulnerability remediation, and compliance tracking. Experience in Security Operations reporting and dashboard management is advantageous.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure, Cloud security, network security technologies, information security controls, compliance requirements, and operational process improvements.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams across multiple regions is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Customer-focused team player with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex and evolving environment, demonstrating initiative and a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timelines.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is desirable.
