Job summary

A leading retail company in Malaysia seeks security personnel to ensure safety in a shopping mall environment. Responsibilities include conducting safety checks, monitoring for suspicious activities, and preventing incidents. Candidates should have a minimum SPM qualification, be competent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and possess the physical capacity to work in shifts. Previous experience in security operations is preferred, and the role is based at Sunway Carnival Mall.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Prior experience in security operations would be an added advantage.
• Prompt, physically fit, and has capacity to work in shifts.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team.
• Willing to be based in Sunway Carnival Mall.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks to maintain a safe environment.
• Report suspicious activity to the officer on duty.
• Prevent criminal activity and vandalism in the mall.
• Patrol common areas and take appropriate security measures.
• Patrol designated checkpoints and security visit books.
• Comply with PDPA and Sunway Compliance Manual.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety checks and other related activities to provide and maintain a safe environment.
• Reports any suspicious or criminal activity/damage/accident/incident to the officer on duty for next appropriate line of action.
• Prevents any criminal activity/damage/accident/incident as well as vandalism from happening in the shopping mall and its surrounding areas.
• Patrol the common area in the mall and car park and take the appropriate security measures in ensuring the complex / tenant / customer safety.
• Patrol and visit all designated checkpoints and security visit books as in the daily roster.
• Comply with PDPA and Sunway Compliance Manual.
• Ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any unauthorized 3rd party without obtaining clearance from the Information Manager or the PDP Officer.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
