A leading university in Malaysia seeks a Security Control Room Officer to monitor electronic security systems and respond to alerts. The role requires vigilance in detecting security breaches, managing incidents, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates need strong experience in security operations and incident management protocols.
Monitor the university’s electronic security systems, including access control, unauthorized access detection and CCTV systems, and coordinate appropriate responses to alerts as per procedures and/or directions from the Senior Security Officer.
Always be vigilant on all activities within the campus to detect and assess any security breaches, suspicious behavior or potential threats.
Manage and respond to emergency, incident and security enquiries in accordance with the incident management protocols.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security incidents, including the nature of the event, response actions taken, and any follow‑up tasks. Complete daily security log in a timely manner, ensuring that all the relevant information is properly documented for future reference or investigations.
Identify any technical issues related to security systems and equipment. Report any malfunctions or deficiencies promptly to the security system team and ensure that all systems are functioning optimally.
