Otis & Sigma is growing and is looking for a Section Manager for Klang Valley area.

Position Summary

The Section Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of field service, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of supervisors and technical staff, ensuring high-quality maintenance, and driving operational efficiency while maintaining full P&L accountability for the customers' account.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Leadership
    • Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
  2. Customer & Quality Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
    • Ensure all maintenance, repair, and reporting activities meet contractual obligations and customer expectations.
    • Monitor and continuously improve maintenance standards, breakdown response, and service quality.
  3. Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure strict adherence to EH&S policies and statutory requirements.
    • Maintain all inspection records and certifications (including Schedule 14 compliance).
    • Champion a strong site safety culture and enforce safe work practices.
  4. Financial & Business Responsibility
    • Act as the P&L leader for customers' accounts, responsible for financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Drive operational cost control and ensure profitability.
    • Identify growth opportunities and support business development through service quality.
  5. Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and coach supervisors, chargeman, competent person, and field staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure team engagement, performance management, and career development.
Candidate Requirements
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • Experience: 8–10 years in elevator/escalator, facilities management, or related industry, with at least 3–5 years in managerial/supervisory roles.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of elevator/escalator maintenance, troubleshooting, and statutory compliance.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse technical teams.
  • Customer Skills: Excellent communication, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, cost efficiency, and P&L accountability.
  • Safety Knowledge: Solid understanding of EH&S regulations and site compliance requirements.
