About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Section Head, Group Payments to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing non-trade related payment operations across the Group, ensuring timely execution within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and full compliance with internal policies and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) requirements. You will play a key leadership role in driving operational efficiency, process improvements, and stakeholder management.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Manage end-to-end non-trade related payment processes, ensuring payments are executed accurately, on time, and in compliance with SLA and MOA requirements
  • Lead and resolve operational issues with the team to enhance efficiency and service quality
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation, re-alignment, and standardization of payment processes
  • Act as the key point of contact for Head Office departments, branches, auditors, Inland Revenue Board (IRB), and Customs on invoice payment matters
  • Attend to queries and provide timely, accurate information and documentation as required by internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure strong governance, controls, and compliance with internal policies, regulatory, and audit requirements

  • Proven experience in payments operations, finance operations, or shared services, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to resolve operational challenges effectively
  • Experience in process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with a strong control and compliance mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
