Overview

Reporting to the SE Asia Operations Director, the SE Asia Commissioning Regional Director will lead and manage the testing and commissioning activities across multiple data centre projects within a designated region. This senior-level role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in data centre operations, project management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of testing and commissioning engineers and technicians
• Develop and implement testing and commissioning strategies for the region
• Oversee the testing and commissioning process for all data centre projects in the region
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure timelines and budgets are met
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
• Develop and enforce rigorous testing and commissioning protocols
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements
• Review and approve test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation
• Provide technical guidance and support to the testing and commissioning team
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
• Resolve complex technical issues that arise during the testing and commissioning process
• Serve as clients' primary point of contact during the testing and commissioning phase
• Present test results and commissioning reports to clients and stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data centre testing, commissioning, and operation
• Proven track record in a leadership role, managing large teams and complex projects
• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including HVAC, power systems, and network operation
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in testing and commissioning processes
• Willingness to travel within the region as required

Desired Attributes

• Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or contract management (e.g., CPM, CSCP, or similar)
• Familiarity with the business environment and regulatory landscape in Southeast Asia
• Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
