Job description

SCIENTIFIC MOLDING TECHNICIAN / SENIOR TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities include setting up moulds and adjusting machine parameters to produce parts according to specifications. Analyze, follow up, and troubleshoot new trial runs or mass production issues caused by technical settings. Improve production injection molding quality, cycle time and efficiency through process parameters. Ensure successful mold tooling into production meeting quality and customers' standards. Provide technical direction and support to meet yield and output. Ensure smooth operation of the injection moulding machines to meet production schedule, quality and delivery. Ensure all production data is completed and available for traceability. Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrections to ensure the product is approved by QC. Monitor data (operator name, scrap & defect, log off job order, enter job order, interrupt job order) at AIP terminal to ensure accurate data in HYDRA & AIP System. Follow up and monitor product quality based on customer requirements. Check the parts quality of all machines as per sample. Ensure machines are in good working condition. Set moulds to be tested and ensure timely scheduling of mould tests. Coordinate internal related matters for mold, production equipment maintenance and repair. Responsible for product, process, test engineering and other engineering technical supports for the assigned project/products. Able to perform quality confirmation on each product type, based on limit sample. Troubleshoot problems and solve injection moulding and auxiliary. Troubleshoot machine or robotic issues during mass production. Train/coach junior technicians on injection moulding machines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of working experience and very strong technical skill and knowledge in the Plastic Injection Moulding industry.
• At least a Professional Certificate/Diploma in Plastic Injection Moulding or equivalent.
• Possess good discipline and positive working attitude.
• Able to work on rotation shift.
• Candidate possess scientific injection moulding knowledge is added advantage.
