Job summary

Pine Hills is seeking a dedicated School Counselor to support the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. The role requires compassion, collaboration with students, parents, and staff, and a commitment to an inclusive school environment.

The counselor will provide individual and group counseling, develop well-being programs, and coordinate with teachers to identify students in need. Experience with children and adolescents is preferred, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
• Valid state certification or licensure as a school counselor.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
• Experience in counseling or working with children and adolescents preferred.
• Knowledge of educational systems and student development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, social, and emotional issues.
• Develop and implement programs to promote student well-being and success.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify and support students in need of additional assistance.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and progress.
• Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school personnel.
• Organize workshops and seminars on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, and career planning.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
• Stay informed about community resources and refer students and families as needed.
