Job summary

A leading industrial gas company is seeking a sales executive in Malaysia to drive business growth through new customer acquisition and managing existing relationships. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2–5 years of relevant sales experience. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred to serve Mandarin-speaking clients. This role involves extensive travel and collaboration across teams.

Job Purpose

As a sales executive in Air Products, you are expected to drive business growth by identifying and developing new customer accounts, managing existing relationships, and delivering technical and commercial solutions for industrial gas applications across various sectors including electronics, metal fabrication, food, petrochemical, oil & gas and etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue and margin targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term contract customers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: from prospecting and technical consultation to contract negotiation and post-sales support, including payment collection.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to address customer technical inquiries and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and long-term contracts tailored to customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports for management review.
  • Conduct regular site visits and build strong customer relationships.
  • Support product launches and participate in marketing and training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal safety, quality, and operational standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Possess Bachelor's Degree, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years industrial sales experience, preferably in industrial gases, chemicals, or engineering solutions.
  • Fresh graduates welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferably fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin. We are looking for Mandarin‑speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin‑speaking customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools and SAP.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the allocated area and occasionally across Malaysia.
