A leading automotive company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Sales Planning Analyst to support sales strategy execution through effective forecasting, data analysis, and performance monitoring. Key responsibilities include preparing sales forecasts, monitoring performance against targets, and consolidating sales data. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Business Administration or related fields, and 1–3 years of experience in sales planning or business analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills are required.

Job description

To support sales strategy execution through effective sales forecasting, planning, data analysis, and performance monitoring.

To work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate sales plans, timely reporting, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and annual operating plans.

Monitor sales performance versus targets and highlight variances with actionable insights.

Consolidate and analyze sales data, market trends, and historical performance to support decision-making.

Coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams on promotions, campaigns, and incentive programes.

Support inventory planning and demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels.

Prepare regular sales reports, dashboards, and management presentations.

Assist in sales incentive tracking and commission calculations, where applicable.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of sales-related data in CRM and ERP systems.

Support ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Dipl/Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sales planning, business analysis, or commercial support roles.

Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM/ERP systems is an advantage.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
