Job summary

AEL Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a data-oriented SAP master data specialist to join our manufacturing team in Malaysia. The role focuses on creating and maintaining SAP master data, BOMs, routings, and costing structures to enable accurate quotations and pricing workflows.

Responsibilities include verifying data accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities while driving continuous SAP process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain customer master data, material master data, and BOM information in SAP.
• Create new part numbers, customer codes, pricing conditions, and sales-related master data in SAP according to approved procedures.
• Execute costing simulations and support quotation activities based on approved cost models.
• Escalate master data discrepancies, costing issues, and system errors to the appropriate head of department.
• To perform data verification and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of system information.
• To investigate and resolve SAP master data discrepancies, costing variances, and transaction errors.
• To monitor system data consistency and recommend corrective actions to prevent operational disruptions.
• To support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by creating and updating all required system data, including BOMs, routings, and costing structures.
• To participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SAP processes, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
