Job summary

A leading FMCG company in Selangor is seeking a Sales Merchandiser to manage inventory and ensure optimal product display across all outlets. This role involves maintaining stock levels, monitoring inventory, and liaising with outlet teams to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate should have experience in merchandising, be able to communicate in Mandarin and English, and must have their own transport. Competitive salary and benefits available.

  • Able to communicate in both Mandarin and English.
  • Must possess own transport and able to travel within Klang Valley.

Job description

The Sales Merchandiser will be responsible for managing inventory orders, display, ensuring optimal stock levels across all outlets, improve product visibility and maintaining strong relationships with the operations team across all customer. This role requires an eye for detail, tidy, and experience in merchandising and display of food related products.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory orders and stock replenishment across all outlets, ensuring healthy stock levels and product availability.
  • Monitor stock quantities, conduct regular stock checks based on type of customers.
  • Arrange and display products neatly on shelves, freezer or promotional areas.
  • Ensure products are fully stocked and shelves are not empty.
  • Check product expiry dates and remove near-expiry or damaged items.
  • Place price tags and promotional materials correctly.
  • Follow company display guidelines and promotions.
  • Liaise with outlet teams to ensure products meet customer demand and store presentation standards.
  • Work closely with logistic / store department to ensure fulfilment of orders and ensure items delivered are displayed accordingly.
  • Support promotional activities or events by assisting in setting up of promotion area, dismantle, co‑ordination and etc to ensure the event success.
  • To perform sales task, sampling and food tasting as and when required.
  • Report to the superior on work‑in‑progress regularly and aggressively.
  • Regular sales report, related paperwork and etc.
  • Work closely with sales executives and promoters to support merchandise and display for key outlets.
  • Support the overall co‑ordination with customers to ensure sales targets are achieved.
  • Any ad hoc task and project assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements
  • Experience in merchandising or retail in FMCG is an advantage.
  • Fit to handle product arrangement and stocking.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel for paper work and reporting.
  • Able to communicate in both mandarin and English. Knowledge of other language(s) is an added advantage.
  • The successful candidate must possess own transport and able to travel within outlets in Klang valley, occasionally outstations.
