Job Title: Sales Manager (Project Sales)

Reports To: Company Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager (Project Sales) to lead and grow our project sales initiatives across Malaysia (stationed in Johor Bahru). This role primarily focuses on IT cabling project sales within the Data Centre & Critical Infrastructure sectors, along with driving strategic commercial performance and market expansion. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, project management capabilities, and deep industry knowledge to foster long-term client relationships and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
  • Drive project sales with a strong focus on DC solution.
  • Ensure all sales costing proposals are vetted and approved by the HOD before submission.
  • Work closely with management to support the accreditation process and related compliance activities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments to support the expansion strategy.
  • Maintain active engagement with key stakeholders, including Corporate Group DC influencers, affiliated companies, consultants, and business communities.
  • Analyze market trends and customer behavior to propose competitive and tailored solutions for clients, especially within the Data Centre & Critical Infrastructure industry.
  • Define and implement strategies to consistently optimize commercial and sales performance.
  • Serve as a key brand ambassador to enhance the company’s image in the competitive marketplace.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and review of marketing strategy plans and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure adherence to company credit policies.
  • Support the project execution team to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
  • Participate in developing project procurement strategies and benchmarking exercises.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to align business goals and execution plans.
  • Provide support to Facilities Management (FM) sales when required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree holder with Mechanical, Electrical or Information Technology related disciplines preferred but not compulsory—proven experience in project sales, preferably within Data Centre infrastructure, IT cabling, or critical systems.
  • Strong understanding of the Malaysia market landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess market trends and formulate winning sales strategies.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and managing external partnerships.
  • High levels of motivation, self-discipline, and strategic thinking.
