A leading global travel and marine services firm is looking for a sales professional to drive client acquisition and manage sales growth in the marine and energy sectors across Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of B2B sales experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong network within the maritime and energy community. This role requires proactive relationship management and an understanding of market trends, along with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Drive new client acquisition and sales growth in corporate/ marine and energy sectors with a primary focus on Malaysia market.
Identify and develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders across corporate, shipping lines, offshore operators, oil & gas firms, EPCs, and marine service companies.
Manage the full sales lifecycle – from lead generation and consultative selling to contract negotiation and onboarding.
Build a healthy and qualified sales pipeline specific to Malaysia, with strong forecasting discipline and opportunity tracking.
Lead regional bid responses for multinational clients with operations in Malaysia, coordinating with internal stakeholders across borders.
Represent ATPI at corporate/maritime and energy events, exhibitions, and forums in Malaysia to promote brand presence and engage prospects.
Monitor trends and developments in Malaysia corporate, marine and offshore ecosystem, including regulatory shifts, port activities, and competitor dynamics.
Develop tailored sales strategies and go-to-market plans aligned with the commercial goals of Malaysia-based clients.
Maintain and manage data in the CRM system with accuracy and discipline, ensuring transparency and tracking key sales metrics.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing our commercial offerings and customer value proposition in each sector.
QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
At least 5 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in marine travel, offshore services, or energy-related industries in Malaysia.
Strong network and credibility within the Malaysia maritime and energy community is preferred.
Proven track record in solution-based selling and negotiating high-value contracts with complex stakeholders.
Deep understanding of the commercial, operational, and compliance dynamics of the Malaysia marine and energy sector is preferred.
Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage senior executives and operational decision-makers.
Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia when required.
