A leading produce distributor in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced sales professional to develop and execute sales strategies for imported fruits and vegetables. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years in fresh produce sales, exhibiting skills in negotiation and supply chain management. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential to effectively serve diverse clients. This role demands a results-driven individual who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets for imported fruits/vegetables.
Identify new business opportunities (e.g., retailers, food service providers).
Maintain relationships with supermarket chains, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
Address client needs regarding quality, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Monitor trends in imported produce (e.g., seasonal demand, pricing competition).
Adjust strategies based on market shifts and competitor activities.
Train and motivate the sales team to achieve KPIs.
Collaborate with procurement/logistics to ensure product availability.
Prepare sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
Experience: 5+ years in FMCG/fresh produce sales, with import/distribution background preferred.
Skills: Negotiation, supply chain knowledge.
Language: Fluent English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
