Job summary

A leading food ingredient company in Malaysia is seeking a Technical Sales Executive to drive sales targets and business development. This role requires strong communication skills and a background in food science or technology. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of sales experience in food ingredients and will leverage their knowledge to establish robust customer relationships. Overview

This is a commercial role focused on achieving sales targets, developing new projects and business in line with our company strategies.

Able to convince and pitch using our company presentation. Understand market trends, competitors and customer insights. Establish good relationships with customers. Leverage our knowledge of food technology to develop new applications and markets with strong commercial, negotiation and marketing skills. Understand and communicate our USPs, and explain the value we bring. Align with our company culture and values. Coordinate technical and commercial efforts with our global Business Partners.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and drive business development in line with company strategy.
• Present and pitch our offerings effectively to potential customers.
• Analyze market trends, competitors and customer insights to identify opportunities.

• Leverage technical knowledge in food to develop new applications and markets.

• Coordinate with global Business Partners on technical and commercial fronts.

Qualifications

• Min. with BSc. Food Tech/Food Science/Biotechnology/Nutrition or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of sales experience in food ingredients.
• Knowledge of food processing/manufacturing is an advantage.
• Background in dairy / beverage / bakery / savoury / meat processing is helpful.
• Strong business English; additional languages are a bonus.
• Outgoing personality with ease in social interactions.
• Proactive in business and commercial development.
• Own vehicle and willingness to travel (central & outstation).
