A leading frozen food company in Malaysia is looking for a Sales Executive to enhance market penetration and sales. This dynamic field-based role involves developing new customer relationships, supporting distributor sales, and executing product promotions. Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant sales experience and possess strong communication skills. The position offers competitive compensation including a base salary plus commission based on sales performance.
We are hiring a Sales Executive to work closely with our distributors to accelerate market penetration and sales growth of our frozen food products. This role is brand-owned and focuses on demand creation, new customer development, SKU penetration, and on-ground sales execution — while all order fulfillment, invoicing, and logistics remain with the distributor.
This is a field-based, growth-driven role suited for a hands-on sales professional who enjoys opening doors, conducting product sampling, and building new accounts.
New Customer Development
Identify and develop new customers including F&B outlets, caterers, retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice operators
Conduct product introductions, presentations, and sampling sessions
Convert leads into active customers who purchase through the distributor
Ensure smooth handover of confirmed customers to distributor sales and operations teams
Distributor Sales Support
Work closely with distributor sales team on joint sales calls
Support distributor reps in promoting and listing company SKUs
Assist distributor in opening new territories and accounts
Follow up on quotations, trial orders, and repeat purchases
SKU Penetration & Product Promotion
Drive listing of new and existing SKUs in customer outlets
Execute in-market promotions, sampling, and product trials
Educate customers and distributor sales team on product features, usage, and benefits
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Collect and report market feedback on pricing, competitors, and customer preferences
Monitor product movement, slow-moving SKUs, and customer reorder patterns
Submit regular sales activity reports and pipeline updates to management
Relationship Management
Build strong working relationships with distributor team
Act as the brand representative in the market
Maintain professional conduct and protect brand and distributor interests at all times
Monthly distributor sales value for company products
Number of new active customers opened
SKU penetration per outlet
Sampling and product trial execution
Minimum 1–3 years of sales experience in FMCG, foodservice, or frozen food industry
Experience working with distributors is a strong advantage
Comfortable with field sales, cold calls, and customer visits
Good communication and basic negotiation skills
Self-motivated, disciplined, and target-oriented
Own transport preferred
Basic salary + sales commission + customer activation incentive
Sales commission tied to distributor sales performance
