Role Summary
Support Firerex’s sales function by identifying opportunities, preparing quotations, assisting customers, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end sales process. This role focuses on execution – developing customer relationships, responding to enquiries, supporting tenders, and helping drive revenue growth in Malaysia’s fire protection market. Ideal candidate is self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast paced, project driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation & Sales Execution
- Own and achieve monthly/annual revenue targets across project and product sales.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities with contractors, consultants, and distributors.
- Manage follow up on quotations, tenders, and ongoing leads to close opportunities.
- Maintain and actively manage sales pipeline in CRM or tracking tools.
- Quotations & Tender Management
- Prepare budgetary quotations with accurate product details, scope, pricing, and lead times.
- Manage tender submissions by preparing technical and commercial documents required by customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure quotation accuracy and timely delivery.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with contractors, MEP consultants, and end‑users.
- Provide complete pre‑sales support, including product information and system recommendations.
- Represent Firerex at site meetings, customer discussions and solution briefings.
- Team Collaboration & Sales Handover
- Liaise directly with supply chain, engineering, and project teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of sales‑to‑project handover documentation.
- Reporting and Market Feedback
- Keep sales reports, activity logs and forecasting updated accurately and on time.
- Monitor market and competitor activity and share relevant feedback with the Sales Manager.
- Propose and implement improvements to sales processes and enhance the customer experience.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account servicing — preferably in fire protection, M&E, construction, safety systems, or industrial products.
- Basic understanding of fire suppression or M&E systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer‑handling skills.
- Able to prepare quotations, understand scopes, and manage multiple enquiries independently.
- Good problem‑solving mindset with strong follow‑up discipline.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to work under project timelines.
- Comfortable engaging contractors, consultants, and site personnel.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel for customer visits or site meetings.
