Sales & Engineering Operations Executive - Rental Solutions
We are seeking an Executive / Senior Executive, Rental Solutions to drive growth in rental revenue and profitability by supporting both the sales team and customers with their short‑term rental (STR) needs. This role involves managing lead generation, handling rental enquiries, preparing quotations, and overseeing the rental fleet. The position also plays a key role in internal and external marketing initiatives aimed at increasing product awareness and enhancing rental performance. When necessary, you will engage directly with end customers to convert sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to rental enquiries from internal stakeholders and customers, prepare rental quotations, and follow up proactively.
- Support the full rental contract process, including contract creation, truck readiness, invoicing, and ensuring accurate asset data within SAP.
- Maintain compliance with relevant company guidelines.
- Oversee the utilisation and maintenance of the Short Term Rental fleet, including creating accurate maintenance plans and ensuring high fleet availability.
- Contribute to rental product management by helping develop rental solutions and delivering regular sales training on STR offerings, tools, and processes.
- Report, analyse, and monitor STR performance—including rates, costs, lost orders, fleet status, margins, market pricing, and competitor activity.
- Manage STR pricing, contract templates, and cost‑calculation tools.
- Coordinate rental fleet logistics in collaboration with the Logistics team.
- Assist in creating and executing business and marketing strategies to grow the rental segment.
- Actively follow up on outstanding account receivables.
- Continuously improve rental standards and processes by engaging with key stakeholders to boost efficiency and identify new opportunities.
- Support the development and long‑term implementation of initiatives that enhance rental performance and operational excellence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service and sales, ideally within material handling equipment, heavy equipment, machinery, or related industries.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
- Results‑driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Solid technical understanding paired with strong numerical, analytical, and detail‑oriented abilities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer‑handling skills, with the ability to manage complex situations effectively.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with rental‑related processes is a plus.
