Job summary

A public listed company in Malaysia is looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to drive sales growth through technical expertise. The candidate will cultivate relationships with key customers, conduct presentations, and promote products to professionals in the HVAC industry. Ideal candidates should have a Degree in Engineering and 1-2 years of experience in technical sales. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential due to the client base. Regular travel is expected for customer interactions.

Qualifications

  • Mandarin is mandatory for dealing with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Possess own vehicle and a willingness to travel frequently.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be the key technical resource for our sales team, responsible for driving sales growth by providing technical expertise and demonstrating the value of our products and services to prospects and customers. You will understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.

What will you be doing?
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, grow and expand the market by identifying potential customers and developing new customer accounts.
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our products and services.
  • Promote and sell our products (Fuji Electric & Panasonic) to Air Cond Contractor, Main Contractor, and M&E Consultant. Penetrate Fuji Inverter and range of products for HVAC project.
  • Develop and direct effective sales channels by scheduling customer visits, organizing sales calls and conducting sales visits.
  • Monitor stock order, follow up collection and payment, and provide technical expertise feedback on customer needs and expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that our products and services remain competitive in the marketplace.
  • Provide quality technical support and guidance throughout the sales process to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
Are you the one?

Minimum a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.

At least 1-2 years’ experience in technical sales and marketing in construction industry.

Mandarin is mandatory as the role requires candidates to deal with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Possess own vehicle, a willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
