Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Johor, Malaysia. The Technical Sales Engineer will bring substantial, sustainable sales growth to the organization. This person will need to be a “hunter” in the electronics adhesives market, who can significantly and positively impact the Company’s overall performance. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive and manage the entire sales process actively from prospecting & closing the deal to building and maintaining a relationship at various levels with a customer. This employee will be actively supported by an external and internal functional department in this endeavor.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Increase sales growth to meet sales budgets each year.
  • Identify, understand and advance opportunities for getting designed-in at new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with internal team and lead the successful conclusion of identified opportunities.
  • Support successful and e'icient execution of complex sales projects.
  • Build and manage relationships at various levels at key customers.
  • Collaborate with commercial leader and technical service team to meet goals.
  • Gather market intelligence, including but not limited to customer applications, endcustomers, demand, trends, technological alternatives, competitors, other material and equipment players.
  • Collect and convey the voice of customer internally within the organization.
  • Report and document activity, opportunities and leads.
  • Partner with other business functions including Technical Service, Customer Service, Production, Marketing and Finance to meet customer’s needs.
  • Develop / Prepare internal/external presentations, reports, forecasts and analytics to support the organization’s strategy.
  • Travel to visit customers up to 50% of the time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in polymer, material or chemical engineering.
  • Intermediate level of technical understanding.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor packaging, electronic assembly, fiber optics, medical applications, epoxies, silicones, polyurethanes, acrylates, cyanoacrylates and other adhesives.
  • Ability to provide intermediate level of technical support to customers.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in CRM, forecasting and presentations.
