Job summary

AW Builders Malaysia is seeking a Sales Interior Designer to guide clients from initial enquiry through project completion. You will respond to inquiries, discuss requirements, visit sites, and prepare space plans and design proposals.

The role requires basic AutoCAD and 3D software knowledge, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication, and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset. You will work in a fast‑paced environment with on‑site coordination and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of experience are welcome.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Coohom or other 3D software is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel for site visits.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, responsible and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Respond to sales enquiries and assist potential clients professionally.
• Conduct client discussions to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Carry out site visits and site measurements when required.
• Prepare space planning, layout drawings and design proposals.
• Prepare quotations, cost calculations and project proposals.
• Present design ideas and proposals to clients.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling and work commencement.
• Prepare drawings required for fabrication and site execution.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to clients.
• Attend site meetings and resolve design or coordination issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed quality, budget and timeline.
• Coordinate project handover, defect rectification and maintenance during the warranty period.
• Maintain proper project documentation throughout every stage.
