Job summary

A leading rubber manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a candidate for a sales and purchasing role. Responsibilities include liaising with customers, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery. Candidates with a minimum of SPM and fluency in Mandarin are encouraged to apply, especially those with experience in sales or purchasing. Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer complaints are forwarded to relevant areas.
  • Prepare purchase orders for suppliers upon receiving requisition forms.
  • Liaise with customers on delivery schedules.
  • Monitor billing of trade.
  • Ensure sales orders are updated in the SQL system.

Skills

Fluency in Mandarin

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the customer’s complaint / requirement and essential information are forwarded to relevant areas for effective corrective and preventive action. Provide timely replies to customers regarding counter‑measures.
  • Provide and monitor all purchases of finished products and raw materials to meet customer requirement. Prepare purchase orders for suppliers upon receipt of material requisition forms, and liaise with suppliers/forwarders on delivery dates.
  • Identify and source new products and raw materials from suppliers to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Update and compile all supplier information consistently.
  • Liaise with customers on delivery schedules and coordinate delivery planning with the Store Section and Production Department. Monitor production to ensure quantity and delivery schedules meet customer requirements.
  • Provide and monitor billing of trade.
  • Ensure sales orders are updated in the SQL system. Check inventory and place IPO to the Production Department.
  • Send shipment requests via email/phone to the Store Section for packing list, provide shipping documents, and arrange forwards to collect cargo post‑receiving the packing list.
  • Provide tax invoices and complete the tooling order status form upon receipt of a tooling order from Senior Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer.
Requirements
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of SPM certificate or equivalent.
Preferred / Added Advantage
  • Three (3) years of working experience in a sales / purchasing department.
  • Knowledge of SQL Accounting software.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is preferred as the role requires interaction with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
