About the job

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Application Engineer (Mandarin-speaking) to join our team. The successful candidate will support sales operations, bid preparation, and proposal strategies, focusing on the electrical engineering domain. Mandarin proficiency is essential to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, and prior experience working with clients or partners from Taiwan will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
• Support the sales team in identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and executing bids effectively.
• Perform cost analysis and pricing evaluations to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, and project management teams to deliver accurate bid documents.
• Participate in customer meetings, providing technical clarifications and product presentations as required.
• Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to build strategic insights for sales planning.
• Maintain effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and partners, ensuring smooth coordination and customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, bid management, or application engineering, preferably within the energy, electrical, or power sector.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Experience in dealing with Taiwan-based clients or partners is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in sales strategy development, cost estimation, and bid preparation processes.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Work location: Onsite – Selangor
