Job summary

A leading airline company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Safety Warden to support the implementation of Safety, Health, Security & Environment (SHSE) requirements. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and responding to emergencies. Applicants should have at least SPM with relevant experience in operational settings. A diploma in Occupational Safety & Health is an advantage.

Safety Warden, Safety, Health, Security & Environment (SHSE)

Reports To: Senior Executive, Safety, Health, Security and Environment (SHSE)

Role Purpose: To support the implementation of Safety, Health, Security & Environment (SHSE) requirements across MAB Engineering Services (MABES). This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, and mitigating safety and fire-related risks within the premises.

Key Accountability
  • Monitor and manage Fire Control Panel (FCP) in accordance with BOMBA requirements.
  • Perform dual duties as Fire and Security Warden to ensure MABES facilities remain safe from hazards.
  • Conduct scheduled patrols within MAB Engineering buildings to detect fire hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and security breaches.
  • Assist in coordinating 24-hour emergency response for incidents such as fire outbreaks, evacuation and security violations.
  • Support enforcement and promotion of SHSE best practices, policies and regulations within MAB Engineering Services.
  • Provide standby support during hot work activities within MABES areas.
  • Conduct inspection and patrolling activities at Hangar 5, Hangar 6 and Industrial Waste Treatment Plant during each shift.
Qualifications & Working Experience
  • SPM with at least 1 year working experience.
  • Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health / Engineering / relevant field is an advantage.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in operational environment is an advantage.
