Job summary

SP Logistics Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety programs. The role focuses on hazard identification, risk minimization, and ensuring compliance with DOSH and OSHA standards.

You will conduct risk assessments, safety training, lead incident investigations, manage PPE, and maintain safety records. A Diploma or Degree in OHS or related field and SHO certification with DOSH/NIOSH are required, with at least 3 years' safety

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields.
• Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH / NIOSH (Green Book holder or local equivalent).
• 3+ years of experience managing safety within construction, port, or manufacturing environments.
• Expert knowledge of local safety regulations, strong auditing capabilities, and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site walkthroughs and job safety analyses (JSA) to mitigate operational risks.
• Organize and conduct safety induction briefings, daily toolbox talks, and emergency evacuation drills.
• Lead root-cause analysis for near-misses, property damage, or injuries, and prepare formal compliance reports.
• Ensure all site operations comply with OSHA/DOSH statutory provisions and environmental laws.
• Monitor, enforce, and distribute PPE across all worker tiers.
• Maintain up-to-date health and safety logs, accident registers, and safety performance metrics.
