Job summary

A resort management company in Gelang Patah, Johor, seeks a Health and Safety Officer to implement safety policies, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Qualifications

Implement and monitor safety policies in accordance with OSHA Act 1994 and CIDB standards

Conduct regular audits and inspections of resort facilities, including guest areas, kitchens, pools, and recreational zones

Ensure all safety equipment is maintained and accessible

Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety breaches

Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions

Liaise with local authorities and emergency services when needed

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of safety checks, incidents, and compliance reports

Lead Health & Safety Committee meetings and submit findings to management

Qualification & Skills

Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field

Certification from DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia)

Strong knowledge of resort operations and hospitality safety standards

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Candidate must have Green Book & CIDB is required

Proactive and able to work independently

Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to provide solution for problem solving

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English
