We are looking for a responsible and experienced Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to join our team for a data centre construction project in Cyberjaya. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, monitoring site activities, and promoting a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Monitor and enforce safety and health requirements at the project site
Ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP, OSHA 1994, CIDB and other applicable statutory requirements
Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions
Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, checklists and records
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and safety inductions
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and prepare the necessary reports
Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety requirements
Assist in the preparation and implementation of HIRARC, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Coordinate emergency response, safety drills and corrective actions
Liaise with project management, consultants, clients and relevant authorities on safety matters
Possess a valid Safety and Health Officer (SHO) registration/certificate recognized by DOSH/JKKP
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction safety, preferably in large-scale construction or data centre projects
Experience in managing construction site safety and subcontractors
Good knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, CIDB requirements and relevant safety regulations
Good communication, coordination and reporting skills
Able to work independently and manage site safety matters effectively
Data centre / M&E construction experience will be an added advantage
