Job summary

A leading manufacturer in safety solutions is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to ensure compliance with Safety & Health regulations and implement safety programs. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health, 3 years of experience in industrial safety management, and strong knowledge of Malaysian safety regulations. Organizational and communication skills are crucial for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing industrial safety and health in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and other Malaysian safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with Safety & Health regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessment and safety audits.
  • Enforce safety standards and conduct training.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies on safety compliance.
  • Develop and implement safety programs and procedures.
  • Conduct WSH inspections and follow up on findings.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend preventive actions.

Safety & Health Officer (registered Green Book Holder)

Strengthening regulatory compliance and safety culture to support operational excellence in production.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with Safety & Health regulations (OSHA & FMA).
  • Conduct risk assessment (HIRARC) and safety audits, implement control measures for S&H.
  • Enforce safety standards; conduct training, briefings, and safety promotion programs.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies such as DOSH (JKKP), CIDB, NIOSH, and BOMBA on safety compliance.
  • Develop and implement safety programs and operating procedures for machineries and workstations.
  • Ensure proper WSHE procedures and documentation.
  • Conduct WSH inspections and ensure timely follow-up on findings.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions and recommend preventive actions.
  • Perform other related duties as may be required by the superior.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book holder) with DOSH.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing industrial safety and health in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and other Malaysian safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Required skills: ERP system, Microsoft Office.
