Job summary

A leading concrete solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking a Safety Coordinator cum Production Assistant to manage daily production activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, developing OSH policies, and implementing safety measures. The ideal candidate has a certificate or diploma in Safety & Health and at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing and construction.

Qualifications

SAFETY COORDINATOR CUM PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in Safety & Health, Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) or equivalent.

Possess a pleasant disposition with good interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills and proven ability to interact and deal effectively with all levels of Management & staff.

Able to work independently and work closely with Heads of Department.

At least 3 years of working experience in manufacturing and construction environment.

Have a good understanding of relevant WSH / DOSH Acts and other compliance requirements.

Be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Job Descriptions

• Manage daily production activities, reports, documentation, ensuring equipment is maintained and production schedules are met.
• Conduct QC of products, site inspections, identify potential hazards, and assess risks.
• Handle in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Enforce safety regulations, such as those from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) or Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) in Malaysia.
• Ensure all workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Implement measures to address safety and health issues in the workplace.
• Communicate closely with site operations and other staff on all safety matters.
• Carry out any other duties as instructed by superior from time to time.
