Ensure all project sites comply with the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA 1994) and other relevant Malaysian regulations.
Liaise with government authorities such as DOSH (JKKP), DOE and BOMBA to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- 2. Safety Inspection & Risk Management: Develop and implement site safety plans and comprehensive inspection schedules.
 
- Conduct daily and periodic site inspections, HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control) assessments and audits.
 
- Identify unsafe conditions or practices, prepare inspection reports, and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
 
- Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe acts, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
 
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and occupational health programs.
 
- 4. Safety Culture & Training: Organize and promote EHS/WSHE campaigns to enhance safety awareness among employees and subcontractors.
 
- Conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, briefings and awareness programs.
 
- 5. Documentation & Audit Support: Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports and incident reports.
 
- Support internal and external audits to ensure continual compliance and improvement.
 
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
 
- Certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) registered with DOSH (JKKP).
 
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors.
 
- Familiar with Malaysian safety regulations and ISO 45001 standards.
 
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
 
- Able to work independently and perform site visits as required.
