Job summary

A leading interior design firm located in Puchong is seeking a Safety Officer to ensure safety compliance on fit-out project sites. The successful candidate will monitor site safety, conduct inspections, and investigate incidents while working closely with project teams. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Occupational Safety or related fields and at least 2–3 years of relevant experience. Benefits include medical leave, SOCSO, and EPF contributions.

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in construction or interior fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of local safety regulations, OSHA standards, and landlord/site compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
  • Able to work independently and proactively.
  • Willing to travel to project sites as required.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring all site works comply with landlord regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
  • Provide safety training and awareness programs for site staff and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on safety improvements.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure work is carried out in a safe, responsible manner.
