This pivotal role offers you the chance to lead and shape the accounting and reporting function across multiple entities, ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency. You will be at the forefront of driving finance transformation initiatives, collaborating with regional and global stakeholders, and nurturing a high-performing team within a supportive and inclusive environment. With clear career progression pathways and exposure to regional operations, this is your chance to make a significant impact while enjoying flexibility and professional growth in a fast-moving sector.

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end Record to Report process, overseeing general ledger management, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing activities across diverse business units.
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Operations Finance, and Commercial teams to provide valuable insights that support strategic business decisions and cost control measures within a complex logistics landscape.
  • Lead system enhancements and automation projects, championing standardisation and continuous improvement while developing a talented team committed to excellence in financial reporting.
What you’ll do:

As RTR Manager, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the financial backbone of a rapidly expanding logistics organisation. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will see you orchestrating the entire spectrum of accounting activities from general ledger oversight through to complex intercompany reconciliations. By working hand‑in‑hand with cross‑functional teams such as FP&A and Operations Finance, you will ensure that every financial report not only meets rigorous compliance standards but also provides meaningful insights for strategic decision‑making. Your expertise will be crucial in leading system transformation projects—particularly those involving ERP enhancements—and embedding best practices that drive operational excellence. In addition to managing critical audit processes, you will inspire your team towards continuous improvement while cultivating an environment where collaboration thrives. Success in this role means delivering accurate results under tight deadlines without compromising on quality or compliance—all while supporting the broader goals of the organisation.

  • Oversee the complete Record to Report cycle including general ledger maintenance, fixed asset management, intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and timely month‑end close processes for multiple entities or regions.
  • Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements are prepared accurately and submitted on time in accordance with IFRS as well as local statutory requirements.
  • Supervise intercompany accounting activities by ensuring proper reconciliation between various logistics entities and business units for seamless financial integration.
  • Work collaboratively with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Operations Finance, and Commercial teams to deliver actionable insights that drive informed business decisions and effective cost control initiatives.
  • Champion standardisation efforts within the Record to Report function by identifying opportunities for process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, transparency, and compliance.
  • Implement robust internal controls throughout all accounting processes while ensuring strict adherence to corporate policies as well as statutory tax obligations.
  • Lead transformative system initiatives such as ERP upgrades (with a focus on SAP) and automation projects designed to streamline workflows and improve data integrity.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing Record to Report team by fostering a culture rooted in accountability, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner for both regional and global stakeholders by providing expert guidance in a dynamic logistics environment.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation promptly and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
What you bring:

To excel as Head of Record to Report you will bring extensive experience gained from senior roles within accounting or financial reporting—ideally spanning over a decade—with proven ability leading diverse teams through periods of change. Your deep understanding of international accounting standards ensures that all reports meet stringent compliance criteria even when managing multiple entities across different jurisdictions. Industry‑specific knowledge from logistics or supply chain environments will allow you to navigate sector‑specific complexities with ease. Your interpersonal skills are second‑to‑none; you thrive when building relationships across departments or geographies while communicating complex information clearly. Technological proficiency—particularly with ERP platforms like SAP—enables you to spearhead digital transformation projects that elevate operational performance. Above all else your commitment to nurturing talent sets you apart: you foster an atmosphere where every team member feels supported yet accountable for their contributions.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required; professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is highly preferred for this senior position.
  • At least 10 years' experience in accounting or financial reporting roles with a minimum of 5 years spent managing teams at a leadership level within large organisations.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of IFRS as well as local GAAP standards is essential for ensuring compliance across multi‑entity operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi‑entity accounting functions including consolidation processes and intercompany reconciliations within complex organisational structures.
  • Prior experience working within the logistics, transportation or supply chain industry is highly desirable due to the unique challenges presented by these sectors.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills combined with strong communication abilities enable effective collaboration across finance and operational teams alike.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems—especially SAP—and advanced Excel/data analysis capabilities are necessary for driving process improvements through technology.
  • A hands‑on approach to leadership focused on nurturing talent while maintaining high standards of accountability throughout your team's performance.
  • Track record of implementing process improvements that result in greater efficiency, transparency or compliance within finance functions is highly valued.
  • Experience supporting both internal/external audits by preparing comprehensive documentation that meets regulatory requirements.
