Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Robotics and Automation Engineer (Software) at Shinmaster Solution Sdn Bhd, located in Selangor.

Job Description

• Perform robotic arm teaching and develop software for robotic operations commissioning
• Develop and implement PLC and HMI software for automation operations
• Participate in the integration of mechanical, electrical and software components to ensure seamless functionality of robotic system
• Conduct experiments and perform tests to evaluate and optimize the performance of the robotic projects
• Need to deal with overseas Chinese supplier for technical support
• Support the documentation of project progress, including design modifications, test result, and technical specification
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and technicians to ensure project milestones are met.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechatronics, robotics and automations and contribute innovative ideas to the project
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist the production team during the final fine-tuning stages of machine assembly to ensure the highest quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Strong theoretical knowledge and understanding of mechatronics, robotics and automation principle
• At least 1.5 year(s) of experience on automation control systems (PLCs, HMIs, Robots, pneumatics, servo drives and axis, industrial communication protocols...)
• Proficiency with PLC, HMI programming, robotics pendant programming and teaching.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python is a plus.
• Hands on experience with robotics systems include assembly, wiring and programming
• Proficiency in Python, C++ is a bonus.
• Proficiency in using CAD software for design and prototyping purposes (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a bonus.
• Must be willing to travel local or oversea
• Preferable language : English & Chinese
