Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a Site Safety Supervisor to help maintain a safe working environment for the Cameron Highlands Road Upgrade Project in Malaysia. You will supervise daily safety activities, conduct inspections, enforce PPE use, and coordinate with SHO, project management, and authorities.

You will also lead site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs, ensure compliance with DOSH/CIDB regulations, and maintain safety records and permits on site.

Qualifications

• SPM/Certificate/Diploma in OSH or related field.
• Minimum 3 years as Site Safety Supervisor in civil/road projects.
• Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Certificate recognised by DOSH/CIDB.
• Experience in road upgrading, earthworks or slope protection is an asset.
• Good knowledge of OSH Act 2022, CIDB requirements and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site safety activities in line with policy and regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health regulations and CIDB requirements.
• Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness activities.
• Monitor and enforce PPE usage by all personnel on site.
• Assist in investigations of accidents and near-miss cases and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspections, and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate with SHO, Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors and authorities on safety matters.
• Oversee high-risk activities including excavation, earthworks, traffic management, and works near live traffic.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and training.
