Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all aspects of daily trucking operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and optimizing routes.
- Ensure goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Oversee vehicle and driver assignments while coordinating with fleet maintenance teams to ensure proper upkeep.
- Lead and develop a team of drivers and operational support staff.
- Maintain compliance with local and federal transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Manage trucking customer service representatives and planning teams.
- Drive customer satisfaction and ensure operations adhere to ISO standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries related to trucking services.
- Work closely with the customer service team to resolve service issues promptly.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, vehicle utilization, and fuel efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular operational performance reports and improvement plans to senior management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5‑7 years of experience in trucking or logistics operations.
- Proficient in TMS software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
