Job Title: Revenue, Senior Manager
Reports To: Owner Representative / General Manager
Location: Meili Resort's Commercial Office, Kota Kinabalu

Job Purpose

The Revenue, Senior Manager is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing the overall commercial strategy for Meili Resort, Semporna. This position will lead all revenue management functions, including pricing, inventory control, distribution, and demand forecasting to maximize profitability and market share. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a persuasive communicator, and a data-driven decision-maker who can inspire a team and influence senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Revenue Management & Leadership
  • Liaise with the Director of Marketing to co-develop and implement the resort's overall commercial strategy for rooms, food & beverage, and ancillary services (e.g., spa, tours).

  • Chair the weekly Revenue Strategy meeting, presenting actionable insights and forecasts to the hotel's executive committee.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Revenue & OTA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and commercial acumen.

  • Manage all room inventory and rate structures across all distribution channels (OTA, GDS, Direct, Wholesale) to ensure optimal mix and profitability.

Pricing & Forecasting
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of demand, market trends, competitor pricing, and economic indicators to inform pricing decisions.

  • Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and rolling forecasts for all revenue streams.

  • Establish and monitor pricing strategies for all market segments and room categories.

Distribution & Channel Management
  • Oversee the resort's channel strategy to maximize direct bookings and minimize cost of acquisition.

  • Manage relationships with key OTA partners (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Trip.com) and wholesalers.

  • Ensure rate parity and content accuracy across all platforms.

  • Drive the development and optimization of the resort's direct online booking engine.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Utilize the Property Management System (PMS), Revenue Management System (RMS), and business intelligence tools to generate insightful reports.

  • Analyze booking patterns, pick-up, denials, and regrets to identify new opportunities.

  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, Market Penetration (MPI), and Revenue Generation Index (RGI).

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in revenue management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.

  • Proven track record of successfully driving RevPAR growth and market share.

  • Expert-level proficiency in:

    • Revenue Management Systems

    • Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS)

    • Global Distribution Systems (GDS)

    • Channel Managers and CRS

    • Microsoft Excel (advanced skills for data modeling and analysis)

  • Deep understanding of the APAC travel market, with specific knowledge of key source markets like China, Australia, UK and Europe.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into a clear, actionable strategy.
