A dynamic retail company in Malaysia seeks a Retail Sales Assistant Manager to lead sales activities, analyze performance metrics, and support branch operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of sales experience, alongside strong communication skills. Responsibilities include monitoring sales performance, preparing reports, and coordinating with teams for stock replenishment. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Retail Sales Assistant Manager with proven experience in monitoring and leading sales teams in planning sales activities and achieving sales targets. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving our company’s growth within the industry.
Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales performance of assigned retail branches and business development team against targets.
Analyze sales trends, product performance, and branch-level KPIs.
Identify underperforming branches or products and recommend corrective action plans.
Prepare and submit sales performance reports to management on a timely basis.
Support Branch Managers in executing sales strategies, promotions, and campaigns.
Ensure consistent implementation of company sales policies and SOPs across branches.
Conduct regular branch visits to review sales execution, merchandising, and staff productivity.
Act as a liaison between HQ and retail branches for operational matters.
Prepare sales-based stock forecasts by product category.
Coordinate with warehouse, supply chain, and procurement teams on stock replenishment planning.
Monitor outstanding receivables from retail sales, including installment or credit sales. Track collection progress and ensure compliance with credit terms and company policies.
Support Branch Managers in coaching, guiding and motivating sales staff.
Assist in setting sales target and KPIs for retail sales team members.
Coordinate and monitor execution of sales campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
Track campaign performance and provide post-campaign analysis.
Support branches in handling customer complaints or escalated cases when required.
Provide feedback to management on customer insights and improvement opportunities.
Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and planning exercises.
Ensure sales team comply with company policies, pricing, guidelines, and credit procedures.
Carry out additional tasks or projects assigned by Management from time to time.
Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in any field.
Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
Must possess own vehicle and be willing to travel.
2-5 years of sales planning and leadership experience.
