Job description

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven B2B Retail Specialist to scale TRAPO’s retail presence and revenue growth across Malaysia. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end expansion of TRAPO’s retail distribution network, secure new business partnerships, optimise consignment performance, and ensure profitable execution across pricing, inventory, and commercial terms. You will work closely with retail decision-makers, merchandisers, and internal cross‑functional teams to drive sustainable sales growth and visibility for TRAPO’s products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the B2B retail growth strategy to expand TRAPO’s retail footprint and revenue
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure new retail partners and business opportunities
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key retail accounts and decision-makers
  • Oversee consignment operations including pricing models, commercial agreements, and stock performance
  • Monitor inventory movement across retail outlets and drive improvements in stock turns and margin
  • Work with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure strong trade activation, merchandising, and brand presence
  • Analyse retail performance, profitability, and commercial KPIs and report insights to leadership
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members when needed
Role Requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B retail or FMCG commercial roles, preferably with exposure to consignment business models
  • Deep understanding of retail costing, pricing structures, negotiation, and inventory management
  • Strong industry network with merchandisers, buyers, or retail leadership is a strong advantage
  • Proven track record of securing and growing retail partnerships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, results‑oriented approach
  • Product knowledge in automotive or car accessories would be an added advantage
