A leading retail company in Malaysia is seeking a Retail Cashier responsible for processing customer payments efficiently. Duties include handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods, verifying their authenticity, calculating totals, and assisting customers with returns. Attention to detail and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsible to accept payments from customers in an effective and efficient manner.
Accepts cash, cheques, credit cards and vouchers and then checks them against sale slip, price tag or other documents for the processing of payments.
Operates cash registers or point of sale terminals to accept payments of cash, credit cards, cheques and gift vouchers.
Verify cash, credit card and voucher and cards for validity and authenticity.
Calculates total price and counts money, returns change and issues receipt for funds received.
De-activate or remove EAS security tags and labels.
Counts and submits all cash received to the Chief Cashier after each assigned shifts.
Assists customers with returns of faulty goods.
Maintain good housekeeping and organisation of workstation and surrounding areas.
