Job summary

FamilyMart Malaysia in Greentown, Ipoh is seeking a friendly Retail Assistant to support smooth daily store operations. You will assist customers, upsell products, handle food orders, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires shift work, including weekends and public holidays, and may involve transfer to other FamilyMart locations. Ideal candidates hold a minimum SPM qualification, with 1–2 years in retail or customer service, and are fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to customer needs.
• Upsell and promote products to customers.
• Handle food orders according to SOP and ensure proper disposal.
• Operate cash register for cash and card transactions per policy.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and housekeeping.
• Ensure product availability through stock replenishment.
• Be based at retail locations and willing to transfer between locations.
• Work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Retail Assistant - FamilyMart Greentown, Ipoh

Ensure smooth and efficient retail operations in collaboration with the immediate supervisor.

Deliver excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer needs.

Introduce, promote, and upsell products to customers.

Handle customer food orders and ensure preparation and disposal processes comply with food handling SOPs.

Operate the cash register accurately for both cash and credit card transactions, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, safety, and overall housekeeping standards.

Responsible for stock replenishment to ensure product availability at all times.

Role Requirements

Minimum SPM qualification or relevant retail working experience.

Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Preferably 1–2 years of working experience in retail or customer service.

Candidates without retail experience but with a positive working attitude are encouraged to apply.

Willing to be based at retail locations and transfer to other locations when needed.

Able to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
