Qualifications

Restructuring & Insolvency (Corporate Recovery) – Junior Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent professional to join our Corporate Recovery team. As part of the team, you will assist on restructuring and insolvency activities for clients.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in the administration of corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements, which include (i) liquidation, (ii) receivership, (iii) judicial management, (iv) scheme of arrangement, (v) corporate voluntary arrangement. Responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):

  • Assist in the preparation of letters, notices, forms, emails and reports to officers, creditors, debtors, local authority and etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of notices to be advertised in the local newspaper (including liaising with the advertising agent).
  • Liaise with tax agents, auditors, accountants, officers of the Company in coordinating the accounts, audit and tax filing.
  • Assist in taking control of the business premises, assets, books and records, statutory records, and perform an analysis report.
  • Liaise with property or assets or business valuer for valuation report.
  • Assist in realisation of assets or properties or business.
  • Recovery of debts.
  • Assist in proof of debts exercise.
  • Investigation of past transactions.
  • Assist in the financial review and preparation of restructuring proposals.
  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.
  • Clarify issues/problem(s) to be addressed and communicate clearly and timely to senior or manager.

Audit experience is not required.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy.
  • Fresh graduate / Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, insolvency, restructuring and/or external audit.
  • Good in written and oral English and Malay.
  • A strong team player.
