A leading professional services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a motivated professional to join their Corporate Recovery team. You will assist in restructuring and insolvency activities, prepare various notices and reports, and liaise with tax agents and auditors. A degree in Accountancy is required, with fresh graduates or those with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. The role demands good communication skills in both English and Malay.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year experience in accounting-related roles.
  • Experience in insolvency, restructuring or external audit preferred.

Job description

We are seeking for a highly motivated, independent professional to join our Corporate Recovery team. As part of the Corporate Recovery team, you will assist the team on restructuring and insolvency activities for the clients.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

Responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):

  • Assist in the preparation of letters, notices, forms, emails and reports to officer, creditors, debtors, local authority and etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of notices to be advertised in the local newspaper (including liaising with the advertising agent).
  • Liaising with tax agents, auditors, accountants, officer of the Company in coordinating the accounts, audit and tax filling.
  • Assist in taking control of the business premises, assets, books and records, statutory records, and perform an analysis report.
  • Liaising with property or assets or business valuer for valuation report.
  • Assist in realisation of assets or properties or business.
  • Recovery of debts.
  • Assist in proof of debts exercise.
  • Investigation of past transactions.
  • Assist in the financial review and preparation of restructuring proposals.
  • Attend meetings and preparation of minutes of meetings.
  • Clarifies issue(s) / problem(s) to be addressed and communicate clearly and timely to senior or manager.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy.
  • Fresh graduated / Minimum 1 year of experience in any accounting related, insolvency, restructuring and/or external audit.
  • Good in written and oral in English Language and Malay Language.
  • A strong team player.
